Editorial Standards

Editorial Standards

How Money Marketing Connection produces, reviews, and stands behind the content on this site.

At a glance

Every article on MMC has a named human author. AI tools are used in our research and drafting workflow, but every published piece is reviewed, fact-checked, and signed off by Trav or Sharee before it goes live. Our affiliate relationships are disclosed in every post that contains them. We correct errors publicly, and we do not pretend a tool is good when we have evidence it is not.

Who writes here

MMC is a two-person operation backed by an internal AI content system we built ourselves (the seven Titans). The two human editors are Trav, founder, and Sharee, co-founder and head of operations. Every post on this site is attributed to one of us. We do not publish anonymous content, and we do not use ghost-bylines.

How content gets made

Research

Most articles on MMC start with a question we have actually tried to answer for our own business — which web host to pick, which funnel builder is worth the price, whether a particular affiliate program is a fair deal. We pull live data from the affiliate platforms we are members of, look at independent reviews on Trustpilot and G2, and reference the merchants’ own published terms.

Drafting

We use AI assistance during the drafting phase the same way most writers in 2026 do — to outline, to surface relevant points, to draft sections we then edit. Our internal Titan system handles a portion of long-form drafting on routine topics. No AI-generated draft goes live without a named human editor reviewing every claim, replacing generic phrasing with our own voice, and removing any factual statement we cannot personally verify.

Review

Before a post is published, the assigned editor checks: every named statistic has a source, every product claim matches the merchant’s own current public terms, every affiliate link is disclosed, and the byline points to whoever did the actual review work. If a piece touches on something we have not used ourselves, we say so explicitly in the post.

Updates

We update articles when products change, prices move, or new information becomes available. When a substantive update is made, the “last updated” date on the post reflects the change. We do not silently rewrite history; if a previous recommendation is no longer accurate, we say so.

Affiliate relationships

MMC is an affiliate marketing site. We earn commission when readers buy through our links — that is how the site funds itself. Our complete partner list is on the Affiliate Programs page, and our compliance posture is explained on the Affiliate Disclosure page. We are an Amazon Associate, and Amazon-specific disclosures appear on every page that contains Amazon links.

We do not recommend a tool we have evidence is bad just because it pays us. When we have used a product directly, we say so. When we are summarizing third-party reputation rather than personal experience, we say so. When two products are roughly equivalent, we name our reasons for picking one over the other instead of pretending one is obviously better.

Sponsored content

If a piece is sponsored or contains a paid placement, it is marked at the top of the article with the word Sponsored in plain language — not buried in a footnote, not styled to look like editorial content. Sponsored placements do not change the rest of our coverage of the same product or category.

Corrections

If we publish something inaccurate, we fix it. Substantive corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article with the date the correction was made and a one-line description of what changed. Email partner@moneymarketingconnection.com with a correction request and we will respond within 5 business days.

What we do not do

  • We do not publish content we have not read.
  • We do not invent quotes, fabricate statistics, or attribute opinions to people who did not say them.
  • We do not use AI tools to mass-produce thin posts targeting search keywords.
  • We do not accept payment to remove negative coverage of a product.
  • We do not pretend to have used products we have not used.

Privacy and data

What we collect, how we use it, and how to ask for your data to be deleted is documented on our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion pages.
